About Us

     Cousins and Owners of C & J, Craig and Jerry grew up together in the capital region area. With a tight knit family they spent much of there time together and from a young age always had an interest in building things with their hands. 

 

      Craig began working in construction during high school for a family friend. After graduation, he enrolled at Brockport College to study physical education but soon discovered his true passion was construction. He transferred to a construction technology program and, upon completing it, quickly demonstrated his carpentry expertise. His skills earned him a foreman position at a remodeling company specializing in high-end renovations. With a deep love for carpentry and a commitment to perfection, Craig consistently helped elevate the projects he worked on to a higher standard.

   

     After high school, Jerry joined the U.S. Air Force and spent six years with the Civil Engineering Squadron Structures Shop. During his service, he developed a keen attention to detail and learned the value of getting things done right the first time. His experience working in a team to accomplish a single mission gave him unique insight into managing large-scale projects, coordinating many moving parts to achieve a common goal. In building and remodeling, just like in his military experience, it’s essential to ensure that every phase—planning, design, material selection, and construction—is organized and efficient, resulting in a beautiful, lasting final product.

     

     Craig and Jerry reconnected in 2009 after Jerry completed his time in the Air Force. Since childhood, they had always dreamed of starting a business together. With both having gained valuable experience in different areas of the construction industry, they decided to combine their skills and build a company focused not only on delivering exceptional results but also on fostering long-lasting relationships with their clients.
